Dream Payments enables Interac e-Transfer payouts in Canada

Dream Payments has added Interac e-Transfer payouts into its DreamPay platform, enabling real-time payment capabilities for Canadian financial institutions, insurers, and enterprises.

This feature enables the transfer of funds using only an email address or mobile number, eliminating the need for banking information.

Interac, a service that enables Canadians to conduct digital transactions, is connected to nearly 300 financial institutions.

The DreamPay platform’s new capability complements existing payment methods such as EFT, virtual cards, and cheques.

It is designed to integrate directly with current treasury, ERP, and claims systems without the need for infrastructure changes.

Zurich Canada, part of Zurich Insurance Company, is among the first insurance companies to adopt the Interac e-Transfer for Business service for claim payouts via the DreamPay platform.

Dream Payments chief product officer Anant Tailor said: “With Interac e-Transfer, we’ve unlocked and democratised access to real-time money movement in Canada. Whether through our modern Payout API or our no-code DreamPay Payout Portal, we’ve made it easy for businesses to embed instant payouts into their operations — no disruption, no delays. It’s a dramatically better experience for payees, whether it’s a claimant anxiously waiting for a payment or a supplier looking to get paid faster.”

Interac Corp chief client officer and group head Glenn Wolff stated: “Interac e-Transfer is deeply embedded in the way Canadians move money. We’re proud to see our capabilities expanding into high-impact use cases like insurance, where speed and trust matter most. Dream’s platform is helping more organisations meet customer expectations by embedding Interac directly into their digital journeys.”

The DreamPay platform is equipped to provide a full payments infrastructure, which includes APIs, payment orchestration, and compliance features for KYC and AML.

“Dream Payments enables Interac e-Transfer payouts in Canada ” was originally created and published by Electronic Payments International, a GlobalData owned brand.
